Carl O’Callaghan Racing Stables has opened his public racing stables based at both Hollywood Park and Santa Anita Park.  Irish Carl is a hands-on thoroughbred race trainer with experience with horses as an exercise rider at notable barns in Ireland and throughout the United States.   With years of experience with some great trainers, he is an active manager, who will on occasion take mounts directly on to the track himself for fine tuning to get the best out of the mounts under his charge. 

Irish Carl has worked with some outstanding horses and other trainers.   He has worked with Todd Pletcher  and John Kimmel in New York and has learned from them.  He uses that experience with his new clients and brings along new mounts carefully to yield smart wins with balanced care.   Carl is busy with races at Santa Anita, Hollywood Park, Del Mar, as well as other tracks in California.
